Big Sur Pool Co. is a family-owned pool builder in San Antonio, founded in 2018 on more than thirty years of construction experience. We design and build custom gunite pools, spas, outdoor kitchens and backyard retreats across the Texas Hill Country, with the owner on site from the first walk-through to the final inspection.

You see the pool before we break ground
We walk the property first, because the sun, the drainage and the trees you want to keep decide more about the design than any catalogue does. Then you get a 3D rendering, so anything you want moved gets moved on screen rather than in concrete.

We are licensed, insured and bilingual, we handle the engineering and the permits, and we would rather take on fewer jobs a year and finish them properly than keep four crews busy.

The trees decided the shape. The pool was drawn to keep every existing oak on the lot, with a slide, a raised spa and travertine decking fitted around the root zones.

The yard fell away from the house, so instead of fighting the slope the pool was raised and carried on a limestone wall, with a bubbler bench along the far end.
